Maryann Yevcak is our June Above and Beyond recipient! The Clothes Less Traveled found Maryann in 2011 at a Holy Trinity Stewardship drive. Although Maryann works full time at the Piedmont Hospital Woman’s Center she generously volunteers multiple Saturdays every month. Great news for CLT: after 26 years she is retiring next month. Maryann says her retirement is bittersweet; she will miss working but will enjoy whatever comes her way. Maryann and husband, John, moved to Peachtree City in 1989 and enjoy 5 children, 6 grandchildren and many grand pups. We hope to see Maryann more when she retires, but have appreciated her reliable presence at the store on Saturdays.
Maryann loves the caring community and service minded people she has met at the Clothes Less Traveled. She has met many new diverse friends outside of work and Holy Trinity while volunteering.
One day that stands out to her was when leaving her shift the staff was assisting a voucher client and it was touching to see the “free” items the family received and made her realize how fortunate we are to be able to help so many people. Maryann says, “Everyone is kind, positive and I really love these ladies I work with.” Maryann, you truly exemplify the Clothes Less Traveled values of kindness and respect. You emulate an authentic positive attitude and spread joy whenever you are at CLT. We appreciate your dedicated Saturday service and congratulate you for your award!
