It is with great honor and excitement that the Board of Directors awarded the 2014 Heart of the Community to volunteer Larry Haynes. Larry spent 30 years serving our country in the United States Army. He received over a dozen stars, citations and medals including the prestigious German Flying Cross Award. Our good fortune began when Larry and his “bride” moved to Peachtree City to be closer to family. Larry is a member of First Presbyterian Church where he serves as an usher. He also spends his extra time collecting back to school supplies for underprivileged students at Oak Grove ES. Larry has been a regular volunteer at CLT for almost 4 years. He volunteers every Monday and Tuesday and often will respond to additional SOS needs for the store. Larry takes pride in his volunteer work and has instituted a few special projects into his weekly routine, like following up on requests by customers.

Larry with his positive attitude and genuine care for others, volunteered last year alone over 1000 hours at CLT. His award included a CLT personalized cap, $100.00 gift card and $2500.00 to donate to a charity of choice.

Congratulations Larry for all of your accomplishments!
