We are pleased to announce that Fran Shockley has accepted the role of Executive Director for Clothes Less Traveled.
Fran’s selection was made after an exhaustive search and thorough interview process. There were many qualified candidates, but through each round Fran rose to the top.
Fran’s professional career was spent at Delta Air Lines where she most recently served as a Manager of Talent Development. All of her roles with Delta had a focus on increasing organizational effectiveness, work team design and change management. Fran is a certified black belt in Six Sigma and is committed to developing and leading successful teams. There is no doubt she will be an effective leader for our organization and one who is committed to maximizing the potential of our staff and volunteers.
While the committee was impressed with Fran’s business acumen, it was her heart and passion for this role, and our organization, that won us over. She is an exceptionally warm and genuine person. Each time the search committee spoke with Fran felt like the continuation of one long conversation and we were always eager to hear more. We know that the staff and volunteers will feel the same way.
The Executive Director is charged with being the leader of a dynamic team, as well as the face of the organization to Fayette County and surrounding communities. We believe that Fran’s skills are the right fit for Clothes Less Traveled and that her passion and personality demonstrates Clothes Less Traveled’s commitment to our personnel and our community to continue, and strengthen, the culture of our organization.
Please join us in welcoming Fran Shockley to our CLT family.
