2023 Scholarship Announcement

High School Student Volunteer Scholarship Award Winners 2022

Clothes Less Traveled empowers local high schoolers to further their education through annual scholarships. Students who volunteer at the Peachtree City thrift shop have earned over $280,000 in college scholarships since 1998.

These young women and men gift their time and talents to the community by helping donors, shoppers, and their fellow volunteers. The vibrant energy they bring to creating positive change makes them a vital part of the thrift shop team.

Twenty-year veteran volunteer, Dick Allis has been inspired by the student’s dedication to making a difference. He and his wife Jan have decided to contribute $20,000 towards four scholarships for next year, The Dick and Jan Allis Service Scholarships. Mr. Allis looks forward to recognizing students who have a heart for CLT’s mission and a true passion for serving others.

“The Scholarship Committee was overwhelmed and thrilled to learn of the tremendous generosity shown by CLT’s longtime volunteer and role model, Dick Allis and his kind wife, Jan. Their donation will allow the committee to honor even more great volunteer students as they pursue their educational goals and therefore greatly furthers the mission of CLT. We are so thankful and grateful for their kindness,” says CLT Scholarship Committee Chair of the Board Cindy Manning.

High school seniors who volunteer 40+ hours before spring of their graduating year are eligible to apply for CLT scholarships.

So all Fayette and Coweta county high schoolers, plan on volunteering today!
